DIVINE COMBINATION

Scripture Reading - John 14:25-27

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. KJV

These verses teach us that the Lord Jesus is present with us today. Not only is Jesus present in our heart but He is also still speaking to us through His Word. We can spend as much time as we would like to spend with Jesus by spending time in His Word (The Holy Bible). Through the knowledge of God’s Word we can grow in our understanding of Jesus and our Heavenly Father. Once this divine information is deposited into our heart the Holy Spirit will bring back to our remembrance God’s Word (including precepts and principles) when teaching us how to apply it to our everyday life. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is not just limited to the Holy Bible, because He also speaks to us about all good things. The Holy Spirit will help you to remember academic material and vocational information, and even financial principles to be successful over this world, our enemies and the flesh. These two divine personalities are some of the reasons we know that our Heavenly Father will take care of us. However, even with the Comforter (Counselor and Teacher) and the Word of God (Jesus Christ) the Lord also left us His Peace to enjoy and keep our heart from all trouble and fear. Notice the order is to first receive the comfort of the Holy Scriptures through the enlightenment of the Holy Ghost then receive the Peace of God by not letting your heart be troubled. These verses all work together, when Jesus is present in your everyday life it is easier for you to be surrounded by the Comforter through remembrance of God’s Goodness, thus filling you with peace to remove all fears. Thank God for the wisdom of God’s Word and the Spirit of God’s Peace to bless and comfort Children of God continuously. Amen!
